Meet Dr. Shane Citron

Shane T. Citron D.D.S., M.D., F.R.C.D. (C), Dip. ABOMS

Dr. Shane T. Citron was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He is a Board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who received his undergraduate degree in human biology from the University of Toronto and Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, while obtaining a Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He belongs to a number of organizations: Canadian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Ontario Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Chalmer’s J. Lyons Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Ontario Dental Association and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He is the former Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He relocated and entered full time private practice in Toronto in 2005. He currently holds staff privileges at The Scarborough Hospital and is a Clinical Instructor and Course Coordinator in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. He is happily married with three wonderful children and remains an avid sports fan.
